What does your job involve?

I work in sales but also assist the technical team by providing technical seminars to our clients and visiting sites for toolbox training sessions, as well as providing site comment reports to ensure the highest standard of installation.

What do you enjoy the most about your job?

I enjoy everything about the job as it varies day to day and even from the morning to the afternoon – it really is that diverse and I love it as it keeps you on your toes!

What does a typical day look like for you?

I tend to start early around 7am so I am available for my clients to take a phone call. A typical day will involve appointments with contractors and end user installers, usually on site. Depending on the project it would also include toolbox talk training seminars or site inspection reports. I also provide technical seminars to our clients including architects and have provided four now to date – I love the specification side of the business. Finally and definitely not least is our loyal distribution side of the business which will include quarterly sales reviews and target project meetings with key decision makers.

So, as you can see no two days are ever the same. I tend to have a daily catch up with my line manager who is incredibly supportive and also reactive to market conditions which is key to our sector. The more decisive we are the more we help our clients.

What makes PFC Corofil a good Company to work for?

The people who work for PFC Corofil! Since I have joined they have been nothing but supportive and helpful which you always hope to find when you are a new starter like me. We all help each other out but one thing that has stuck with me is that the team works together to make a difference – all pulling in the same direction. That is testament to the management team here. I take great pride in the fact that we are so effective and decisive in a competitive market sector, but above all else we have fun along the way which is also important. We all help each other to ensure a positive outcome.

And finally, what do you like to get up to away from work?

The weekends are all about family, I have two boys, aged 2 and 10, and we are members at Chester Zoo so tend visit monthly as my wife and the boys love the lion enclosure! We also love F1 so most Sundays  we are watching a F1 race and recently went to Silverstone Grand Prix to watch Lewis win his 9th Silverstone race; it was just an amazing atmosphere. I also love my beloved Stoke City and cant wait to take my 2 year old to his first game!
