Insulated Fire Sleeves CIFS

Pipe closure device used to form a penetration seal. PFC Corofil Insulated Fire Sleeves are made of a flexible intumescent material, consisting primarily of mineral fibres, intercalated graphite and organic binders formed into a pipe sleeve.

Insulated Fire Sleeves have been tested in accordance with EN1366-3:2009 and offer fire resistance periods of up to EI240 for differing services and wall or floor constructions.

The sleeves are grey in colour with a glass fibre reinforced aluminium foil cladding around the perimeter along their full length. They are available in various diameters to suit specific pipe sizes and have a nominal 25mm thick wall. They can be cut down along their length to aid fitment and a strip of aluminium foil tape is used to seal the joint.

Where should you use Insulated Fire Sleeves?

For use as a pipe closure device, Insulated Fire Sleeves are installed around metal and plastic pipes to form a penetration seal. They are used to reinstate the fire resistance performance of non load bearing wall and floor constructions where they have been provided with apertures for the penetration of services.
