Insulated Fire Sleeves CIFS
A pipe closure device that is used to form a penetration seal in the event of a fire. PFC Corofil Insulated Pipe Fire Sleeves are made of a flexible intumescent material, consisting primarily of mineral fibres, intercalated graphite and organic binders formed into a pipe sleeve.
Our Insulated Fire Rated Pipe Sleeves have been tested in accordance with EN1366-3:2009 and offer fire resistance periods of up to EI240 for differing services and wall or floor constructions.
The fire sleeves for pipes are grey in colour with a glass fibre-reinforced aluminium foil cladding around the perimeter along their full length. They are available in various diameters to suit specific pipe sizes and have a nominal 25mm thick wall. They can be cut down along their length to aid fitment and a strip of aluminium foil tape is used to seal the joint.
Where should you use Insulated Sleeves for Pipes?
For use as a pipe closure device, Insulated Fire Sleeves are installed around metal and plastic pipes to form a penetration seal. They are used to reinstate the fire resistance performance of non-load-bearing wall and floor constructions where they have been provided with apertures for the penetration of services.
The Insulated Fire Sleeve datasheet shows the only applications the product has been tested in. Please ensure the product has been tested in and is suitable for your application.
